New America Media for DACA

The New America Media (NAM), International Institute of Bay Area (IIBA), and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) of Bay Area launched a briefing with Filipino and Korean Media on the benefits of DACA, last February 27, 2015 at 209 Ninth St. San Francisco, CA.

DACA is a program created by President Obama in 2012 to protect undocumented immigrants who came to U.S. before their 16th birthday. DACA provides young immigrants with work authorization, social security number, access to education and health benefits. They must either be in school, or have graduated high school, or served in the U.S. military.
